Our History
Andau Medical’s story is rooted in courage, resilience, and the power of human connection.
In 1956, more than 70,000 Hungarians fled to Austria following the suppression of the Hungarian uprising. Many crossed through the village of Andau over the Bridge at Andau. Even after the bridge was destroyed, thousands continued forward on makeshift crossings, determined to build a safer future.
Sandi Wright’s family was among those who crossed into Austria just one day before the bridge was destroyed. Their journey, and the compassion shown by the people of Andau, became the inspiration behind the company she would later build.
Today, Andau Medical is a proudly women-led company serving dental and medical professionals across North America. As we continue to grow, our purpose remains unchanged: helping clinicians, customers, and our people move forward with confidence.
